Service Description

Offers group programming to caregivers and children at no cost who have been exposed to violence or disharmony. Groups run for seven or ten weeks each fall, winter and spring.

  • Children (aged five – fifteen) – Children take part in supportive groups with age-appropriate content that assists in learning about healing and emotions through discussions, creative crafts and fun activities.
  • Caregivers and Parents – Caregivers and parents attend alongside their children and receive support and education about the impacts of violence and trauma on families and children. They have a safe and supportive space to explore healing and coping mechanisms.

NOTE: As part of Y’s Kids, they offer a summer run club for children ages five to 14. Through the summer children work with a volunteer trainer from July to September to prepare for a mini-marathon.
