Service Description
Settlement and Community Support Services at SODS include:
- Community Connections (mentoring, matching and volunteering)
- Cultural Bridging information sessions, training sessions and presentations
- Community garden
- Cultural and social events
- Senior’s programs
- Partnership building
- Volunteer connections
- Settlement Support Workers in Schools (SSWIS): a school-based outreach program that connects newly arrived families with services and resources in the school and community
- Youth programs, including in-school programming, after-school programming (mentorship, educational, leadership and recreational programming) and special event programming.
Eligibility
Immigrants or refugees in their first three years following arrival in Canada.
