Service Description

Offers a number of programs for seniors, including:

  • Snow Angels – A program where seniors can get help with shoveling if they are unable to shovel their sidewalk.
  • Seniors Community Kitchen – A program that offers a unique opportunity for seniors who often cook along to come together, connect, and enjoy a socially engaging experience centered around food. Runs once a month.
  • Seniors Luncheon – A seniors luncheon/potluck held every fourth Tuesday of each month (September – July) at 1770 Halifax Street. Provides a guest speaker on senior topics.
  • Santa For Seniors – A program that brings holiday cheer to seniors in the Heritage neighbourhood who might be experiencing isolation during the festive season. Includes a holiday meal and gift-giving.
  • Art, recreation, exercise and volunteer opportunities.
