Service Description

An eight-week group to support children (ages seven – 13 years) as they explore their feelings of fear, anxiety, and worry in a supportive environment. Through exploration of feelings, children will learn skills and strategies to cope with their emotions in an encouraging setting with their peers. Topics explored include:

  • symptoms of anxiety
  • individual anxiety triggers
  • how our brains work
  • self talk
  • negative thoughts
  • mindfulness and movement.

Eligibility

Youth (groups of ages 7 - 10 and 10 - 13 years) and their parents/caregivers.

$250. Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) may cover the fees for this group.
