Service Description
Includes Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) and an evening English Class.
In partnership with Citizenship and Immigration Canada and the Ministry of Economy, the objective is to provide quality, settlement-based English language training to newcomers to Canada. Facilitates the social, cultural, and economic adaptation of refugees and immigrants so they may become participating members of society as quickly as possible. The teaching staff uses curriculum guidelines aligned with the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB).
Instruction is offered for LINC levels 1 through 6. Free child care is provided for the evening classes.
Eligibility
Must be a permanent resident of Canada, temporary worker, provincial nominee, or new Canadian citizen (under 10 years of citizenship).
